My friend Kristen is co-hosting a link up party today called “Me Myself & I”, and I thought it would be fun to join in. You just answer the 5 questions and link up! Easy enough. Here are my answers.
What is your biggest phobia?
My biggest fear is sort of embarrassing, because its something little kids are afraid of and then they grow up. Well, I’m 27 years old and I HAVE to have my feet covered when I go to sleep or some evil creepy thing is going to grab them or something, I don’t know! When I was little, I walked in on my older brother watching a vampire movie and it SCARED THE CRUD OUT OF ME. I was seriously traumatized. I literally had to sleep completely covered in blankets. If my pinkie were sticking out even a tiny bit, the vampires were going to eat me. (I’ve come a long way! Now it’s only my feet that bother me!) Hence my aversion to all things vampire-related. I guess you could say I much prefer Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter over Twilight any day. Vampires are for killing, not kissing.
If you could relive any day of your life, what would it be and why?
My wedding day, for a coupe of reasons. First of all, it was such a happy day!! I got to marry a pretty awesome guy that day and I would do it again a million times. And the other reason is, I wasn’t very “crafty” back then. My creative abilities have come a long way since then. If I could relive that day, there is so much more that I would have done to make it the most beautiful wedding ever. At the time I was a little distracted by the handsome man in front of me (and college finals!) that I didn’t put much effort into the details. And you know what? That is totally fine with me. Our wedding was more about our marriage than anything else. We were in love and just wanted a simple ceremony on the beach! We’ve come up with a solution for my wedding-issues though. One of these years we are going to have a huge anniversary party and DO IT UP. It is going to be awesome.
If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?
Whatever age I am when the kids are old enough to be more self-reliant and helpful but still be my little sweeties. Once they hit that golden age, I just want to hit pause and not let them grow up any more!
Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
None? People have often told me actually that I look like Thelma from Scooby Doo and I’m not sure how I feel about that. Oh, or one time in college I left the room for a bit and when I came back there was a torn page from a magazine on my desk with this supermodel circled in permanent marker with the words “your twin” written next to it. I couldn’t see the resemblance, but apparently every in my class agreed. I have no idea who it was.
What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?
I’m really drawing a blank here. But it would be fun to think about this for a while and come up with an extremely thorough soundtrack. Maybe I’ll do a post once I get it all set. I can think of a few songs that would definitely be included though:
“Coconut Champagne” by Maynard Ferguson – This was MY song in high school. I had the most kick-butt solo in jazz band and it still makes me happy. (I played the bari-sax) (Also, Denis Diblasio is amazing.)
“Arise and Be Comforted” by Watermark – This song gave me a lot of comfort when I was struggling with being pregnant with Flynn and all of the wonderful hormones that came with that.
“Sound of Sunshine” by Michael Franti – This song reminds me of my time living in FL.
“Up and Up” by Reliant K – And this song would be for where I am right now in my life. Just trying to do a little better each day.
And this song for sure. Definitely.
I just love these posts!! So many people have linked up and I'm having fun getting to know the people behind the blogs I love better. My sister plays the sax. Its one of my favorite instruments to listen to.
They are fun to read! It was a good link party idea
Hey girl! I was so happy to see your cute face linking up today! I totally agree with reliving the wedding day- your words were basically my own thoughts. I was so young and my taste has changed so much- can't wait til our 10th anniversary- I'd like to renew vows and do it proper!
It was a fun little post! I've already started planning our big anniversary party. I'm sure your vow renewal ceremony will be beautiful!
Your solo in Mr. Grinch was also awesome!
(but then, YOU were the one playing it)
Mr. Bagley wrote that Grinch solo especially for me
