{Outdoor Classroom} Paper Boats

The week before my trip, we borrowed the book “Hopper and Wilson” by Maria Van Lieshout from our library. It’s about a couple of friends who set out to find the end of the world in their paper boat. Juniper really enjoyed the story, and I thought the illustrations were adorable.

We wanted to make some paper boats and set them free in the lake down the road, but (quite appropriately) it started raining while we were reading so we settled on using a plastic bin on the deck. The boats didn’t last very long… but the kids had fun splashing in the water. And the day ended with Juniper dancing in the rain in her undies. Fun times indeed.
