I was just browsing through my post drafts and I realized I never shared this painting I did a couple of months ago. It is definitely one of my favorites! I had so much fun with the background. I want to do more paintings with detailed backgrounds… Heck, I just want to do more paintings, period. I am in LOVE with how Erin used this painting on the cover of her ‘family yearbook’. (Not sure if that link will work.) I want to start doing yearly photo books. I just love that idea.

I finally decided to reopen my Etsy shop. I don’t know why I’ve been hesitant to do it. I had planned on reopening in January, but kept putting it off. I guess I still have that “no one wants my artwork anyway” mentality that comes along with low self esteem. I’ve already sold one painting though! And it’s a fun one. I’m hoping to have the sketch finished up tonight so I can have it approved and ready to paint this weekend.
