Day 239
It was long dark when I got home from work today, but Juniper and I grabbed some flashlights and went exploring outside. Juniper filled a bucket with various findings and when we went back inside she decided to paint some rocks while I played with leaves.

Day 240
Another day of not getting home until after dark. (Which I’m thinking is going to be the norm for the next few months. Sad face.) This time we collected a bunch of sticks and painted them.

Day 241
Today was our paper boats experiment. I don’t know how many more days this year we’ll be able to play in water buckets on our deck. We are trying to enjoy it while we can. It started raining while we were outside.

Day 242
I took the kids to the park today. We love Cosmo Park! There are a million slides to choose from, and both kids absolutely love the giant ones. Flynn has been trying to walk up stairs by himself, without holding onto anything, and it is REALLY cute to watch.

Day 243
We joined our friends today on their home school field trip to the pumpkin patch. It was super windy and cold, we were unprepared! But we had a lot of fun exploring the farm. The kids loved the hay maze, and we got to choose some pumpkins. Juniper insisted on picking the smallest pumpkin she could find, while Flynn was determined to pick one that was bigger than him.

Day 244
Today we watched our friend’s kids, and we took our small army to Home Depot for their safety festival. There was a fire truck, ambulance and cop car that the kids could climb around in, and we got lots of stickers and goodies.

Day 245
We took play time outside today after church. I put some play dough and a bunch of toys on a platter and let the kids go crazy while I sat on the swing and tried to ignore my crazy headache. Flynn ended up sweeping the deck while Juniper played with the clay. That boy loves to sweep.
