Little Geranium Dress

I have a few friends who are expecting babies this spring. One of which I am throwing a baby shower for this Saturday! Kristen and her husband have two little boys, and she is having a girl! It’s been fun planning the party with my friend Maria, and I’m super excited to decorate my house all pinks and girly this weekend.

Last night I sewed up this adorable Little Geranium Dress using Made By Rae’s free pattern. I changed up the pattern just a tiny bit, adding a little notch in the neckline and having the buttons go all the way down the skirt instead of stopping by the waistline. The little patch pockets are ADORABLE but you can hardly see them in these photos. (The shadow from the pocket just looks like a huge wrinkle! Ha!)

This dress came together really fast, and the pattern instructions were easy to follow. Which really is impressive because I SUCK at using patterns. I might make her an Itty Bitty Dress next, and then some matching Ruffle Diaper Covers! Sewing for little girls is so much fun. (Another one of my friends is having a baby boy soon so I’ve been thinking up some cute gift ideas for him as well!)
