I’ve been invited to a movie night at a good friend’s house this Friday night. We’ll be watching Austenland. I figured I better actually READ Pride and Prejudice before then, so the movie makes sense. Well, I may have gotten a tiny bit obsessed. In the past 4 days I have watched both the 1995 and 2005 films, and read the entire book. And I haven’t decided yet which Mr. Darcy I prefer! On the one hand, Colin Firth was pretty fantastic. BUT Matthew Macfadyen totally looks like a boy I was absolutely in love with as a teenager. Oh decisions decisions. Hahaha!

I thought it would be fun to make a little Pride and Prejudice related hostess gift for the party. I’m leaning towards doing a mini painting of Mr. Darcy. I had fun browsing through Etsy for a little creative inspiration. I need a Pemberley Pond print in my life. And seriously, I love every single candle in the Frostbeard Studios shop! What does Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey smell like? “Driftwood, Black Currant Tea, and hint of Juniper.” Ok, now I definitely need to buy it!

    • This is probably the ONLY time I will say this, but watch the movie first. (I watched the 2005 one first) The book is really hard to get through, so for me, having seen the movie helped a lot.

  1. Colin Firth! Of course! I can’t believe there is even a question!!!!

(Although, I did see the Colin Firth version when it first came out, so I was attached to it for years before the newer movie came out).

    • And I watched the 2005 one first, so part of me is attached to him for that reason too! I will just agree to love them both equally :)
